The pads and liners composition varies between each product, which is why their biodegradability varies between 97% - 99%. Their ingredients can be separated into 3 main layers; surface, core, outer. The surface layers are all made of natural and organic corn and bamboo fiber (FSC certified). The core is made of absorbent wood pulp. The outer layer is made of PLA + PBAT blend bioplastic (biodegradable). Therefore, the only non-biodegradable part is the adhesive. We still thrive to reach the 100% biodegradability goal, and our customers will be the first ones to hear about any good news in the future!

Our pads and panty liners could be biodegradable and compostable within 6-12 months under the right conditions. It requires a natural setting with oxygen, soil, microorganisms, moisture, and high temperature (no problem for Thailand!).

Household compost with >28°C degrade in 12 months

Industrial/commercial compost with >58°C in 6 months

Each pad and panty liners are compostable and biodegradable including its wrapper, ranging from 97%-99% biodegradability. Only the non-toxic adhesive is not biodegradable. None of these materials turn into microplastics 🐛

You can change your pads depending on your menstrual flow, but the recommended time for our day pads is 2-3 hours due to hygiene reasons. You should change when there is a smell, or if it feels too damp. Please bear in mind that because we do not use superabsorbent polymers (SAP) in our pads, the pads may appear more full and have a stronger red colour than conventional pads. So, you may have to change Ira pads more often than usual, but please don’t be alarmed - it’s more hygienic to do so! 🙌🏼

SAPs turn menstrual blood into gel-like structure, allowing more liquid holding capacity and feeling less damp. However, this makes people unaware of how long they have their pads on. It is never hygienic to leave pads with menstrual blood on for long. Also, SAPs are non-biodegradable. We continuously try to improve our product and are working towards finding a biodegradable SAP or alternative for our products.

Menstrual cups and reusable pads are great products that serve the same purpose as ours. However, in the Asian culture there’s still a lot of stigma surrounding the topic, which resulted in misconception and misinformed information about how to use these products 😔. This leads to fear or bad experiences which stops women from using them, and what’s the point of having a great product if no one uses it?

This is why our first product is developed to make the disposable sanitary pads as biodegradable as possible, with very little change in behaviour. The only behaviour change is some customers may have to change their pads more often during the day, which makes it even more hygienic for your health!

Ira pads and liners are produced in China. However, our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint even more by manufacturing in Thailand, so if you are a business that could partner with us, feel free to get in touch. 📨

They have the same length (24cm.), so the only difference is the thickness. Light pads is around 0.1cm thick, which is perfect for your light flow, or people that prefer to feel light as a feather all day! Since the thickness is different, day pads also holds more absorption than light day pads.

We currently only ship in Thailand due to our logistics capability. However, if there is a demand to ship to other countries we will explore our options and keep you updated! ✈️

Subscription payments can be made through credit/debit cards or through PromptPay. If using a credit/debit card, you'll have to enter your card details on the first payment, but after this the payments will happen automatically. For PromptPay, we'll automatically send you a QR code via LINE on day that your payment is due.

You can pay using either credit/debit cards or through PromptPay/direct bank transfers.

Our subscription means you get the menstrual products of your choice delivered to your door when you want them. And subscription products even come with a 27% discount!

Just tell us what you want (which products and how many of them), how often you want deliveries, and then we'll send you a box of these products at your chosen delivery frequency (every 1, 2 or 3 months).

You can change your products, skip deliveries, or cancel anytime and anywhere.

Log in to your account and go to Subscription -> Cancel your subscription where you'll be able to cancel, effective immediately.

Log in to your account and go to the Orders section where you'll find a 'skip delivery' button on your next order. This will skip your next delivery, and of course, you will not be charged for it.

Skipping a delivery must be done at least 24 hours before the payment for that delivery.

Log in to your account and go to Subscription -> Change your box where you'll be able to change the products that we send you each month and the changes will apply right away.

You can add products or remove products, and the cost of your delivery will change accordingly.

Log in to your account and go to Subscription -> Change your delivery frequency where you'll be able to choose to have your deliveries every 1, 2 or 3 months.

Log in to your account and go to Subscription -> Change your payment day where you'll be able to select a new day of the month that you'd like to pay. Your delivery date will then be shown as 5 days after this payment date, but it should arrive sometime within those 5 days.
